Living in Norway

21 Aug

Living in Norway is great.

Norway is a beautiful country with a lot of nature, such as fjords and mountains. I think a lot of people would agree and say that its one of the best countries in the world to live in. Many people that don’t know a lot about Norway, think that we have polar bears in the streets of Oslo and that we have snow all year. This is not true. I have lived in Norway all my life and I still have’nt seen a polar bear. If you want to see a polar bear you will have to travel to Svalbard. The weather here can be really bad sometimes, but once in a while its sunny and warm.

There are a lot of typical norwegian things to do. People here loves to ski and hike, and almost everyone have been to a cabin. We also celebrate our national day 17th of may, with children walking in parades all over the country. The day is pretty much dedicated to the children. Most women also wear a national costume called a “bunad”.

Good point about the national day being dedicated to children in Norway. I think Norway is one of the few countries in the world that have a day for the children like that. But I’m not sure about it, maybe I should look it up! I have never seen a polar bear either. They can be dangerous so it is just as well! You might mention where in Norway you can see polar bears?

I wish I could live in Norway because there people enjoy skiing and hiking and lot of people go to the cabin and I would also like to go there. I also love that celebration where children walk on the streets all over the country enjoying the celebration. I can say that Norway is more or less the same with Lesotho because it also has mountains and rivers.

Thank you for taking the time to comment on my blog. Most of us can just drive our car to our cabin. But some people have to use snowmobiles to get there if its a lot of snow.

Thank you for the comment. I really think you should visit Norway, its a beautiful country. When it’s winter its normal that the temperature is around -5 to -10 degrees Celsius. But it really depends were you are and its different every year. The coldest ever measured in Norway is -51,4 Celsius! This happened in northern Norway, Karasjok in 1999. But this is not normal!
